Wow, positive and encouraging. The way communication between humans should be. Well after spending about 15 minutes trying to figure out how to post on this thing again, here we are!
So the move to California has been nothing short of a blessing. Not only is it exciting to be in a new location with great weather, lots of people, tons of possible activities and the pacific ocean a bike ride away; the way in which a separation from the "rut" of old can truly revitalize an individual is outstanding. As I continue to focus on what is eternal and slowly leave the worldly afflictions behind I begin to realize that for once in my life I feel like I am the "right man, in the right place, at the right time". Opportunities out here to expand my desire to minister, fellowship and worship have increased daily and so has the fruit which I have been able to produce. Two saturdays ago I was walking for the first time on the Venice Boardwalk. All i saw was trash and lies...so I though to myself, what about a "truth booth". Could there be an opportunity to spread the truth I hold to others who are lost or broken? So I went to church the next day and was introduced to a man visiting that week only from Ok City, Ok. He has an entire non-profit devoted to spreading the gospel in a non-abrasive way on the streets. It's called JesusBooth (www.jesusbooth.com). So I went with this guy last thursday to 3rd street promande, a street devoted to passer-bys, vendors and performers. We had an amazing time for 4 hours at night helping people answer questions about God. Three days later I picked up 2 homeless people i met that night and brought them to church with me. The experience was so rewarding I asked Nathan if he would mind parting with this particular booth so I could continue to do this when he left. As of right now, the booth is in my trunk and I am going with a few guys from church this friday night.
Tomorrow may very well be my last day typing at this particular computer. I have an interview with a new company friday and am thrilled about the opportunity. Anything will be better than 100% commission for a money hungry idoloter.
I will keep ya'll posted. Best wishes everyone!
